PUPILS from a Solihull school received a masterclass football coaching session led by several Blues Ladies stars last week courtesy of main shirt sponsors Eze Group.
Blues stars Charlie Wellings, Chloe Peplow and Aoife Mannion delivered the training session at Lyndon School where 65 school girls were put through their paces.
The lesson, which took place in the school sports hall, included a 10-minute warm up, skills session and various shooting drills.
The visit was arranged by the club’s new sponsor Eze Group, who are continually working to encourage more girls into playing football at their local club.
Lyndon School sports teacher Rachel Edmonds said: “It was a great experience for the pupils and gave them a flavour of what happens during a professional coaching session.
“There are several girls who are really passionate about football, so to have the players visit our school to give advice and offer support was really inspiring to see.
“On behalf of the school we’d like to thank Eze Group and the players for the opportunity.”
After demonstrating their footballing skills, Blues Ladies captain, Emily Westwood and Jessica Carter led a question and answer session with the pupils.
Dominic O’Reilly, ceo of Eze Group, said: “We were delighted to have the opportunity to support Lyndon School.
“Part of our sponsorship of BCFC Ladies is about encouraging more young girls to take part in active sport, so we’re pleased to hear the player visit was enjoyed by all.”
