Striker Kirsty Linnett signs new Blues Ladies deal

STRIKER Kirsty Linnett has ended months of speculation surrounding her future by signing a new deal which will keep her at Birmingham City Ladies for the upcoming 2016 Women’s Super League season.

The 22-year-old began her career at hometown club Leicester City before joining Arsenal at 16 and she has is now set to embark on her fourth season with Blues.

Linnett made her UEFA Champions League debut in 2013 against Finnish opponents FK Zorkiy and has also represented England at national level for the U17, U19 and U23 squads.

“It is with great delight that we can announce that one of the fans’ favourites, Kirsty Linnett, has signed a new and improved deal to stay with the football club,” said Blues Ladies boss David Parker.




“Kirsty is a prestigious talent that is capable of great things and having 3 seasons worth of FA WSL 1 experience at such a young age still. It is a great platform for her to make great strides in the game.

“I am certain that all Blues fans will be looking forward to watching our number 9 in front of goal next season with her trademark skills that will get the crowds out of their seats.”
