TO CELEBRATE the Queen’s 90th birthday on Thursday, April 21, the Mayor of Solihull is inviting residents of the borough who will be turning 90 in 2016 to an afternoon tea.

All residents who have or will turn 90 years old during 2016 are invited to get in touch to be entered into a draw to win an invite for two to the celebration.

The guests will be hosted by the Mayor in the Council’s Civic Suite for a traditional British afternoon tea in honour of Her Majesty.

Solihull Mayor Glenis Slater, said: “The Queen’s 90th birthday is a great opportunity for us to celebrate both her reign and the classic British values. “I am thoroughly looking forward to welcoming the residents of the borough who have also reached the milestone.”

Any Solihull residents who qualify (people born between 1 January 1926 and 31 December 1926) should get in contact by emailing [email protected] or calling 0121 704 6023. Those lucky enough to receive an invite will be contacted closer to the time.
