THE OBSERVER would like to point out that the photograph previously used to accompany our story about boy racers in Solihull featured a picture of a car that is in no way associated to boy racers in Solihull or anywhere else.
The picture we used was from our sister paper The Coventry Observer, in which we featured the Coventry Motofest event at the weekend.
The vehicle in question is a professional drift car owned and driven by British Drift Championship driver Ryan Toporowski.
We would like to apologise to Mr Toporowski and anyone involved in the professional sport of drifting for any misunderstanding.
Mr Toporowski also runs special drift days at Birmingham Wheels where car enthusiasts can enjoy ‘drifting’ safely away from public roads and also teach people how to drive their cars safely.
There is a skid risk drift day taking place at Birmingham Wheels on Wednesday, June 17 and more details can be found here: www.driftworks.com
