CLATTERING teacups and delicious cakes will be on offer on Wednesday (March 25) as the Marie Curie Hospice opens its doors for afternoon tea.

Kettles will be on the boil from 2pm until 4pm at the Marsh Lane Hospice for a Christmas-themed tea party for patients, carers and the community to get together.

Jackie Brooks, one of the organisers of the event and an Occupational Therapy Technician at the Hospice said: “This next afternoon tea is again not a fundraising event but a community gathering event to open our doors here at the hospice and welcome anyone that would like to know what we are about.

“We would like to show the local community that we are more than just a Hospice, we are a part of the community and offer so much more.”
