STUDENTS from Shirley Tae Kwon-Do Club were celebrating again recently following further success at the British Championships in Worcester .

British titles went to Sunny Jagatia, Darren Smith and Jaymal Jagatia with Turkay Hasan picking up silver and Matthew Brunn and Minesh Jagatia taking home Bronze.

All students train under the guidance of World Champion and international instructor Steve Merricks at Light Hall School, Shirley and Dickens Heath Village Hall.

“The British Championships is the biggest national tournament for us with over 1,500 competitors taking part.” said Steve.

“I am proud of all my students who took part especially the medal winners who thoroughly deserve their success.

“Tae Kwon Do has many aspects for anyone to get involved in whether it’s to improve fitness, build confidence or make some new friends. It’s always a pleasure to see my students achieve whatever goals they may have through their training at the club.”
