A SOLIHLL man has been jailed in connection with an attempted robbery in Walsall.
Dylan Beard, 18, from Campville Grove was jailed for six years after he pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted robbery.
West Midlands Police said in May it received reports of an attempted robbery near Broad Lane, Bloxwich, where two other teenage boys were approached near the railway station before demands were made for their bikes.
It added: “The 18-year-old man threatened to stab them and rob their bikes, but the two boys managed to keep hold of them. One of the boys was punched in the face, where he suffered a broken nose.
“Officers from our robbery team in Walsall CID carried out enquiries to identify who was responsible and arrested Dylan Beard days later from his home address in Solihull.”
