BIRMINGHAM and Solihull Bees celebrated a successful season by hosting the club’s end-of-season awards night at Portway.
A packed clubhouse reflected on the 2025/26 campaign as the Bees cruelly missed out on promotion by a single point.
However, Solihull scored more tries and points than any other side in the Counties 2 Midlands West (East) last season.
And five of the club’s players earned representative honours as Aron Bowker-Sayce, Ali Cook, Will Heath, Ryan Sleaford and Joe Rogers all featured for Greater Birmingham who won the Midlands Championship.
Bowker-Sayce won the coach’s player of the year award while Heath scooped the players’ player of the year prize.
And Connal Maye took the clubman of the year prize while Adam Trombley, Jack Allen and Ali Cook all reached the milestone of 50 appearances for the club.
Sleaford brought up a century of games for the Bees while Solihull’s players also presented awards to supporters and the club recognised the efforts of a number of the club’s volunteers.
The Bees have also discovered their opponents for the 2026/27 season.
Solihull can look forward to games against Tamworth and Woodrush next campaign.
