SOLIHULL Moors chief Darryl Eales has resigned from his role as chairman at European club Lions Gibraltar.

Eales took on the chairman’s role at the Gibraltarian club in August 2025 alongside his duties at Moors.

However, while Eales will remain a shareholder of the Lions, the Solihull chairman now wants to put all of his focus into Moors.

Eales said: “My primary focus is on my ownership of Moors and my other business interests alongside this.

“I haven’t taken the decision lightly but if I do something I want to be able give it 100 per cent and this is unfortunately not practical given my other priorities and commitments.

“Positively, it will allow Lions to bring in a more time rich, active chair who can also spend more time physically in Gibraltar.

“I will remain a shareholder and a positive advocate and fan of Lions and wish them every success in the coming season.”
