HARRISON Morrow secured two Heritage Class victories to continue his impressive season in the United Formula Ford Championship.
The Solihull teenager competed in a 1992 Reynard Formula Ford prepared by Shaws Motorsport at Mallory Park.
And the Solihull driver qualified eighth overall racing against a number of more modern cars.
The 17-year-old claimed a commanding Heritage Class win in race one despite running on used tyres.
He finished seventh overall and recorded a fastest lap of 49.23 seconds – just fourth tenths slower than the fastest lap set by the race winner.
And Morrow took another victory in the Heritage Class in race two as the young driver finished sixth overall.
A late red flag brought proceedings to an early conclusion with Morrow locked in a battle with several newer cars.
Right up until the red flag, Morrow found himself in a battle for third place overall.
Morrow now holds a substantial lead in the Formula Ford Heritage Championship and sits sixth overall in the Championship standings.
Morrow said: “Mallory was a really enjoyable event. The car felt strong throughout the weekend, and we were able to show the pace we’ve been working towards over the last few months.
“The team did a fantastic job, and it’s encouraging to be able to race competitively against much newer cars.”
Morrow returns to action at Silverstone this weekend for a triple-header round in the Super Classic Formula Ford Championship with the Solihull driver currently top of the overall standings.
