LEGAL staff swapped computers for gardening tools as they spend time volunteering at Spencer’s Retreat Farm.
The ten-strong team from Brindley Twist Tafft and James (BTTJ) revamped the fairy garden and also got stuck in with weeding, mowing and strimming at the Berkswell farm.
The corporate volunteering afternoon comes just weeks after BTTJ announced the farm, which is part of The Langdale Trust, was its new charity of the year.
Susan Faulkner, partner and head of risk and compliance at BTTJ, said: “We really enjoyed getting stuck into some hard work at the farm, and it was great to see the results at the end of the afternoon.”
Spencer’s Retreat Farm is not open to the public but takes private bookings for families and groups with special needs.
It has sheep, goats, chickens and horses to feed, among other animals, plus play areas, stables and a tented area, creating a fun, safe and understanding environment,.
A spokesperson for Spencer’s Retreat Farm said: “We enjoyed a lovely afternoon with the team from BTTJ who worked very hard at jobs that needed to be done. Thanks so much to them all.”
