A MAN has been charged after several cars were stolen in Solihull.
Steven Troughton, aged 44 of no fixed address, has been charged with four counts of theft of a motor vehicle and will appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Wednesday June 10.
He was also wanted on recall to prison, so will remain in custody.
West Midlands Police had been investigating after four cars were stolen from around the Marston Green and Kingshurst areas between February and May.
Officers from Solihull CID and the Vehicle Crime Team carried out several enquiries and issued an appeal for information, for which we are grateful to the public for responding to.
The force said: “We know that vehicle crime has a real impact on people, and we have teams of officers across the whole of the West Midlands working together to bring those responsible to justice.
“If you see suspicious activity near a vehicle or a crime in progress, call 999 straight away.”
