SOLIHULL Moors ended the season with an emphatic 4-1 victory against Yeovil Town after a first-half blitz.

Moors raced into a three-goal lead inside 20 minutes as Jacob Wakeling netted a brace either side of Scott High’s strike at Huish Park.

Yeovil reduced the deficit on the half-hour mark when Terrell Works found the net only for Joe Sbarra to quickly restore Solihull’s three-goal cushion.

The result means Moors end the National League season in 14th place on 56 points.

Solihull broke the deadlock after just 85 seconds when Wakeling fired a low effort into the bottom left corner from 25-yards out.

And Moors struck again on 13 minutes as High lashed a shot past Yeovil goalkeeper Jed Ward from the right-hand side of the penalty area.

The visitors stunned the home side with a third goal three minutes later as Wakeling cut in from the right and reversed a shot into the bottom right corner from 15-yards out.

Yeovil reduced the deficit on 30 minutes when Works cut into the box from the right and curled a shot into the left corner of the goal.

However, Moors all but sealed the points six minutes later as Sbarra ran onto Alex Whitmore’s through ball and fired a low effort into the bottom right corner.
