Meriden director gets long-standing service award

THE DIRECTOR of a Meriden company has been recognised for services to people development.

Andy Long has been made a member of the City and Guilds Institute for his long-standing services to training and development of colleagues.

He is one of just 19 people nationwide who have, this year, been inducted as Members of the City and Guilds Institute of London.

Andy has worked at Pertemps for more than 20 years, moving from a sales role to develop the skills development department at the company, overseeing it establish a new dedicated training centre at the company base in Meriden and managing a business change programme, Creating a Coaching Culture.

Andy said: “The awards recognise tutors and trainers going above and beyond to transform lives through skills and training and it is humbling to be included in the 2026 cohort.

“The support I have had at Pertemps throughout the years has been outstanding. The business is always looking at new ways to develop our people, and it is that constant innovation and investment that sets us apart from other organisations.”




Andy has spearheaded flagship initiatives, like Ignite and Creating a Coaching Culture, in recent years, which redefined how learning is delivered across the group.
