A HOSPITAL radio station will be taking on a valentine-a-thon this weekend to raise much needed funds.
BHBN Radio will be holding a marathon 39 hours of live shows from their studios in Birmingham from 7am on February 14 to 10pm on February 15.
The Valentine-a-thon aims to raise vital funds to support BHBN Radio’s operations and help sustain its role as a local broadcaster.
BHBN is offering listeners and supporters the opportunity to make a request or dedication for a donation to the station or the opportunity to sponsor a show.
The marathon begins at 7am with Rich Pemberton on the Saturday and ends with the Sunday Evening Show presented by local man Paul Stanley – Hospital Broadcasting Association Best Male Presenter nominee from 8pm to 10pm.
Andy Caddick, publicity officer and presenter said “This event is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, share their messages of love, and support the station that brings them music, news, and entertainment every day.
“We are grateful for every contribution, big or small, that helps us continue to broadcast.”
Organisers says the Valentine-a-thon will be a unique marathon of heartfelt stories, special music selections, and live interaction with BHBN’s presenters.
Donations and requests can be made now and throughout valentine’s weekend by visiting bhbn.net and clicking on the gofundme link.
