SOLIHULL Moors suffered back-to-back home defeats for the first time since August/September after losing 2-0 against York City.

Second-half goals from Alex Hunt and Alex Newby condemned Moors to defeat against the league leaders at Damson Park.

The result means Solihull sit 10th in the National League table, six points outside of the play-off places.

York broke the deadlock on the hour mark when Hunt scored from the penalty spot after Greg Olley went down under the challenge of Darius Lipsiuc in the box.

And the visitors sealed the points on 79 minutes as Newby controlled a low ball from the left in the box and drilled a shot into the bottom right corner from 15-yards out.

Solihull are next in action against Brackley Town on Saturday, February 7 with kick-off at 3pm at St James Park.
