A METAL worker has been recognised at one of the top entrepreneurs in the borough.
Sean Jones, founder of Jones ’n’ Co Cast Metal Designs Ltd, was recognised by members at the Solihull Entrepreneurs Circle (EC) as the EC Local Solihull Member of the Year 2025.
He was recognised for his consistent contribution, positive mindset and practical application of learning within one of the UK’s largest EC Local communities.
The award was presented by Stuart Bevins, who leads the EC local programme nationally and oversees EC Local Events across the UK.
Stuart said: “Every EC Local needs a Sean Jones.
“He turns up, he gets involved, and he genuinely wants to help other members. What really stood out this year was not just Sean’s attitude, but the way he took simple ideas and turned them into real commercial results.”
Although he runs a successful manufacturing business, Sean joined Entrepreneurs Circle as a self confessed novice when it came to marketing.
Over time, he has implemented a number of new strategies and joined EC’s MasterPlan programme to support the next stage of growth.
One recent example saw Sean apply a simple three line follow up email to a group of lapsed customers he believed he had lost.
The message required no campaign, no spend and no complex setup, yet it resulted in 35 reactivated customers and more than £4,000 in revenue so far, contributing to a 20 percent uplift in sales that month.
The approach has since become a permanent part of his follow up process and is now something he actively shares with other EC Local members.
Beyond the numbers, Sean was recognised for the role he plays within the Solihull EC Local community.
Known for his upbeat attitude and willingness to support others, he is seen as a role model for taking responsibility, staying positive and simply getting on with it.
On receiving the accolade, Sean said: “I’m chuffed to bits to receive this. EC Solihull has been a brilliant environment to learn in, not just from the content but from the people in the room.
“There’s always something new to take away, and the willingness of others to share what’s working makes a real difference. I’ve learned a huge amount and I’m grateful to be part of such a positive, supportive community.”
Entrepreneurs Circle Local Events support entrepreneurs at every stage, from start ups to established businesses, and are open to business owners who are members of Entrepreneurs Circle.
The Solihull EC Local Event is one of Entrepreneurs Circle’s largest Local groups and is held at EC headquarters.
In 2025, EC Local evolved from monthly meetings into curated business events and experiences, designed to be more immersive, practical and energising than a traditional catch up.
