CELEBRATIONS were in order when Solihull Prep School was chosen as a winner of a Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots Awards 2025.
The school has been granted the prestigious Compassion In Action award following the children’s charitable giving and humanitarian projects create a positive impact in our world.
The judges were ‘deeply impressed by the pupil’s creativity, teamwork, and the inspiring results of their projects.
Mark Penney, head of Solihull Prep said: “Mrs Penney and Mrs Harper have done a great job in leading the way and we are very grateful for the passion they have engendered across the school in creating real, meaningful change for communities, wildlife and the environment.
“There are many things about our Prep School that we can be very proud and of those, our charitable giving is a shining light. Thank you to our whole Solihull community for the wonderful support they give the children in bringing about tangible, life-changing outcomes for those less fortunate as often as they do.
“We, and they, will of course continue doing such work locally, nationally and across the world regardless of recognition. Our community’s efforts have been recognised as being exemplary by the Jane Goodall Institute UK and, most importantly, we know that they matter – a lot.”
