Donate gifts to help families in need this Christmas

Sarah Mason 27th Nov, 2025   0

A SOLIHULL audiology team is residents to help spread Christmas joy to children and young people in need.

Specsavers Solihull hearing centre is collecting new, unwrapped gifts as part of its annual Christmas Gift Appeal in support of The Salvation Army.

People can support the appeal by donating items such as toys, books, games, toiletries, crafts, puzzles or gifts suitable for teenagers. All items must be new and unwrapped.

The gifts will be distributed to local families who may otherwise struggle to provide presents at Christmas.

Donations can be dropped off at the store until December 3, allowing The Salvation Army time to organise and deliver the gifts to those who need them most.

The appeal is being led by Sydney Pope, a member of the store team who helps oversee much of the team’s community engagement work throughout the year.

Nilam Yaqoob, store director, said: “Our team works closely with local families every day, so we know how much of a difference a small act of kindness can make.

“Christmas can be a really difficult time for many people, and we want to help ensure that no child goes without a gift.

“The response from the community each year is incredible, and we’re grateful for every donation that helps spread a little hope and happiness.”

Donations should be dropped off at Specsavers Solihull Hearing Centre 21 Drury Lane Solihull, B91 3BB.
