A BALSALL Common wedding singer has been handed a top honour.
Sophie Burrell Vocals has been announced as West Midlands Highly Commended at The Wedding Industry Awards 2026 (TWIA) in the Musical Act category.
Based on average voter scores and feedback from customers from the past 12 months and the opinion of more than 160 expert judges, the 2026 Awards saw 26,747 votes cast for 1,300 entrants.
Of these, 1,000 wedding businesses became Regional Finalists.
Sophie said: “Being still fairly new to the wedding industry and my first year in the awards, I was just happy to attend the finals evening for West Midlands.
“No way did I expect to walk home with Highly Commended Musical Act.”
Regional Winners are being announced at a series of events held across the country throughout November including at Albrighton Hall Hotel in Shrewsbury for the West Midlands.
All of the Regional Winners will then go through to the National Final in Liverpool on January 21.
