A WAVE of pink took over a Solihull Care home as residents and staff raised funds for breast cancer.
Blossomfield Rose took on a half-marathon walk around the home’s grounds, raising funds for Breast Friends Solihull as part of Breast Cancer Now’s annual Wear It Pink campaign.
The home has raised over £200 for the charity.
This was part of a Macc Care Group, which oversees the Blossomfield Road care home, initiative to bring residents, family members, staff and members of the wider community together for Breast Cancer research.
Bhav Amlani, Director of Macc Care Group, said: “It’s always inspiring to see the creativity and compassion that exists within our homes, and Wear It Pink Day was a wonderful reflection of that.
“Whether it was walking, cycling, baking or singing, each event helped to raise not only vital funds, but also awareness and connection.
“We’re incredibly proud of our residents, staff and supporters who came together to make a difference, their kindness and enthusiasm is really appreciated.”
