A PAIR of veterans visited the National Memorial Arboretum to pay their respects.
Ray, who served in the Royal Air Force, and George, a former Royal Electrical Engineer, were joined by members of the Wellbeing Team at Claridge Place Care Home and some fellow residents on the trip.
The trip was inspired by Ray who wished to visit the Arboretum to pay his respects.
Residents walked among the memorials, sharing stories and honouring those who bravely served their country.
Stacey, Senior CRM at Claridge Place, said: “Both Ray and George proudly served their country, and it was a privilege to help make this special visit possible.
“When I asked Ray why this trip was so important to him, he said, ‘It’s always important to remember! They gave their todays so we could have our tomorrows’.
“Joined with fellow residents from Claridge Place, they enjoyed reminiscing and sharing memories.”
