SOLIHULL Moors secured their biggest win of the season so far with a comfortable 4-0 victory against 10-man Truro City.
Goals from Conor Wilkinson, Darius Lipsiuc, Emmanuel Sonupe and Sam Bowen earned Moors the points at Damson Park.
Truro played the majority of the second half with 10-men after Shaun Donnellan saw red with Moors already two goals ahead.
The result means Solihull sit 15th in the National League table.
Truro almost took the lead just before the half-hour mark as James Clarke produced a remarkable acrobatic clearance to prevent Zac Bell’s volley from crossing the line.
However, Moors broke the deadlock on 41 minutes when the returning Wilkinson powered a shot into the net from just outside the penalty area on his first league start of the season.
And Solihull struck again less than a minute later as Lipsiuc coolly found the bottom right corner from Wilkinson’s perfectly-weighted pass.
Truro had Donnellan sent off in bizarre circumstances eight minutes after the break as the referee waved for a free-kick to be taken.
The defender received a second yellow card after reentering the field of play following an injury too soon for the referee’s liking, mistaking the signal as his cue to return to the field.
Moors eventually made the extra man count five minutes from time when substitute Sonupe glanced Clarke’s cross from the right into the far corner at the near post.
And fellow sub Bowen completed the scoring deep into injury time with a ruthless finish from Sonupe’s deflected cross.
Solihull are next in action against Gateshead on Saturday, November 8 with kick-off at 3pm at Gateshead International Stadium.
