KNOWLE romped to a 6-1 win away at Cradley Town as the Robins claimed a 10th successive league victory.

A brace from Zak Parsons and further goals from Jack Duggan, Brady Floyd, Connor Mort and Josh Parsons sealed a comprehensive win for Knowle at Beeches View Avenue.

The result means the Robins remain third in the Midland Football League Division One table, six points behind leaders Sutton United with three games in-hand.

Knowle took the lead after just two minutes as Z  Parsons lashed a low shot into the bottom right corner from just inside the penalty area.

And the Robins doubled their lead six minutes later when Duggan forced a header past the Cradley goalkeeper following a corner from the right.

The visitors all but sealed the points two minutes before half time as Z Parsons controlled a ball into the box from the right and coolly found the net.

However, Cradley reduced the deficit before the break as Kane Harrold kept the home side in the contest.

Knowle restored their three-goal cushion on 56 minutes when Floyd volleyed home from close range after Cradley failed to deal with a corner from the left.

And Mort stretched the away side’s lead virtually straight from the restart as he curled a fine effort into the right corner of the goal from 25-yards out.

Substitute J Parsons completed the scoring in injury time with a low curling effort into the bottom left corner from the right-hand side of the penalty area.

Knowle are next in action against Coventry Copsewood on Saturday, October 25 with kick-off at 3pm at the Draintech Community Ground.
