A STAKE in the future of nature in Solihull is going under the auctioneer’s hammer.
Nearly seven acres of woodland at Parish Poles, off Widney Lane, close to the Hillfield Nature Reserve, will have a guide price of just £5,000+ at Bond Wolfe’s live-streamed auction on Thursday, October 23.
Colin Totney, land and development surveyor at Bond Wolfe, said the new owners would be expected to become trusted custodians of certain trees in the woodland.
He added: “This is a parcel of woodland extending to approximately 6.7 acres, or 2.7 hectares, with frontages on to Widney Land and Brick Kiln Lane.
“We understand that the property is freehold, and it is very rare for a plot of land this size to become available in Solihull.
“The woodland is subject to a Tree Preservation Order with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, and it will be sold subject to certain overage provisions.”
The woodland plot is next door to Solihull Sports and Social Club.
The woodland will be among 180 lots at the auction which starts at 8.30am.
