Sighthounds and their owners called on to join world record attempt

SIGHTHOUNDS, and their owners, are being called on to get into the record books.

Daybreaks Greyhound Trust is set to join in a world record attempt record at the Great Global Greyhound Walk on Sunday, September 28.

The Elmdon-based charity is asking all greyhounds, lurchers, whippets, Salukis, Afghan hounds, deerhounds, Italian greyhounds, Borzois, Galgos, wolfhounds and Sloughis to join them, and their greyhounds that are available for adoption, in Breuton Parkd to join in the Great Global Greyhouond Walk from 10.45am.

Walkers can choose between a standard route lasting around 45-50 minutes or a shorter, accessible option lasting around 30 minutes.

Afterwards, everyone is invited to gather in the park’s café to celebrate the global event.

Last year, a huge 13,383 sighthounds took part in 511 walks across 42 countries.
