SOLIHULL’S symphonic wind band is tuning up ahead of a charity concert.
The band, known as AD Concert Band, will present their Autumn concert at Philip’s Church, Manor Road, Dorridge on aid of Age UK Solihull.
From 3pm there will be a mix of music from films and musicals, including items from Star Wars, My Fair Lady, Mission Impossible, Out of Africa, The Magnificent Seven, Miss Saigon, The Great Escape, Jungle Book, Chess and The Dambusters.
Steve Marlow from AD Concert Band, said: “We’re thrilled to be performing our Stage and Screen concert in support of Age UK Solihull.
“The music is fun, familiar, and full of energy — and knowing that every note helps support older people in our community makes it even more special.”
Age UK Solihull provides vital support, advice, and companionship to older people across the borough. Every ticket sold helps make a real difference in the lives of Solihull’s older residents.
Rebecca Jacob, fundraising manager at Age UK Solihull, said: “We’re so grateful to AD Concert Band for choosing to support Age UK Solihull once again.
“Their concerts are always great fun, and the funds raised will help us continue providing vital services to older people in the borough — from befriending and lunch clubs to advice to practical support.
“It’s a wonderful way to enjoy great music and make a real difference locally.”
Adult tickets are £8 in advance or £10 on the door, with admission free for under 18s.
