WEST MIDLANDS Police are on the lookout for volunteers to help share its fascinating Lock-up stories with visitors.

The force is looking for friendly, and enthusiastic people interested in supporting its education programme which is always fully booked.

Education volunteers support school, community, and youth groups that visit the Museum during the week.

It is said to be a perfect role for anyone who is passionate about our past and who wants to have a positive impact on young minds.

Anyone who is more flexible in the week, evenings and weekend, can become a general volunteer where there are plenty of roles from supporting our guided tours to helping in the shop, or being part of immersive experiences.

West Midlands Police said: “As a volunteer, you’ll gain hands-on experience, build new skills in customer service, education, and retail, and become part of the wider West Midlands Police family.

“You’ll also get access to exclusive events, historical talks, and behind-the-scenes insights into our unique collection of police artefacts and archives.

“We ask for a minimum commitment of once a month, but we’re flexible with your availability. All roles are 18+ and subject to vetting.”
