COMMUNITY groups, care providers and charities were on hand at a Pensioners’ Fair.

Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst, Solihull West and Shirley MP welcomed the groups and companies came together alongside older Silhillians and their families thanks to his event at Solihull Indoor Bowls Club.

The Fair brought together a wide range of local organisations offering advice and support for older residents and their families.

Dr Shastri-Hurst said: “I was delighted to welcome residents to my first Pensioners’ Fair.

“It was wonderful to see so many people engaging with exhibitors, asking questions, and making new connections. “Events like this show the value of bringing services together under one roof in a warm and welcoming setting.

“I am incredibly grateful to all the exhibitors who gave their time to offer advice and support, to the sponsors whose generosity made the event possible, and to Solihull Indoor Bowls Club for so kindly hosting us.”

Exhibitors ranged from care providers and charities to public services and community groups; offering guidance from health and wellbeing to housing and legal advice.
