MATT Taylor could not hide his frustration after Solihull Moors conceded late on to draw 1-1 at Carlisle United.
Moors took the lead on 69 minutes as Dan Creaney scored his first league goal for the club at Brunton Park.
However, Terell Thomas equalised for the home side on 80 minutes to deny Solihull their first victory of the season.
The result means Moors sit 12th in the National League table after starting the campaign with three successive draws.
And while the draw angered Moors boss Taylor, the Solihull boss believes his side will win plenty of games this season.
Taylor said: “My big emotion is anger – that should be three points not one point.
“That shows how far the group have come and also the expectation the players now have of each other.
“The lads were excellent, we were the better team in my opinion and we played some really good football.
“The effort and resoluteness with and without the ball was excellent.
“We’ve got to perform at these levels consistently and we’ll pick up points.
“We obviously want that elusive three [points].
“If the players keep performing at that level, we’ll win a lot of games this season. I’m really confident of that.
“We’re a completely different team to last season, just the intensity and we’re dynamic and move the ball well.
“We’ve now got a team everybody in the town can be proud of.”
Solihull made the more than 400-mile round trip to face a Carlisle side managed by former Manchester United striker Mark Hughes.
And Moors broke the deadlock on 67 minutes when Creaney coolly found the bottom right corner following a misplaced pass.
However, Carlisle equalised 10 minutes from time as a corner landed at the feet of Thomas in the box and the defender drove a shot into the bottom corner.
Solihull are next in action against Alderhsot Town on Saturday, August 23 with kick-off at 3pm at Damson Park.
