SOLIHULL Moors will participate in the National League Cup in the 2025/26 season.
Moors opted against taking part in last season’s competition as Leeds United under-21s beat Sutton United in the final.
However, the club have decided to enter this year’s tournament which sees National League clubs take on Premier League 2 and Championship teams.
Moors will play Manchester United, Everton, Burnley and Blackburn Rovers in the group stages with all four fixtures to take place at Damson Park.
Moors chairman, Darryl Eales said: “Last season we opted out of the competition as we were unclear on how the competition format would operate.
“Having spoken to a number of clubs who did participate, the view was generally positive about the competition and the relatively flexible rules regarding team selection.
“On this basis, and with further development of the rules and the match schedule, one extra game per month pre Christmas, we felt that participating was justified, especially in developing our younger players.”
