A SCHEME giving Silihillians the chance to invest in solar power to reduce energy bills has been extended.
The Solar Together initiative has seen more than 1,000 Silhillians sign up to get solar panels from qualified installers.
Solar Together is a group buying scheme where Solihull residents can register to get a competitive price on Solar PV and battery storage installation, with registrations for the scheme reaching 1,158 potential participants and counting.
Owing to the popularity of the scheme, this has been extended to July 11.
Residents considering the scheme now have four more weeks to sign up for free, without obligation, by clicking here.
Solar Together is run by iChoosr, who are experts in sustainable energy transition.
Solihull Council is supporting the scheme to help make the transition to clean energy as cost-effective and hassle-free as possible.
Councillor Andy Mackiewicz, cabinet member for Climate Change and Planning, said: “I’m really encouraged by the incredible uptake we have already seen here in Solihull.
“With energy prices increasing, it’s a perfect time to consider renewable energy and the long-term savings it can provide on bills, which is why we are pleased to be working with Solar Together to bring this opportunity to people in Solihull for the first time.
“Solar Together grants us all the enhanced buying power necessary to access more competitive prices and get a better deal on installing solar panels and battery storage.”
Residents, businesses or community groups can register now and save on Solar Panel, battery storage and EV charger installation.
