A YARDLEY teacher attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace.

Cockshut Hill School principal Jason Bridges and his son, Daniel, were invited to the event which recognised exceptional contributions to public service, education, and community leadership.

King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted the Education and Skills Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, which brought together a wide range of guests, including medical professionals who teach, academics, and staff from educational institutions.

Their Majesties are said to have spent time meeting and speaking with attendees, recognising their contributions to learning, training, and skills development.

Jason said: “It was a privilege to represent Cockshut Hill and the wider Summit Learning Trust community at such a prestigious occasion.

“Attending with my son made the day even more special. It was a memorable reminder of the value of public service and the importance of our work with young people.”

Joining Mr Bridges at the event was Richard Beamish, chair of Governors at Cockshut Hill and vice chair of Summit Learning Trust, who attended with his wife, Carol.

Richard said: “It was a privilege to be invited to the Garden Party, to enjoy the atmosphere and to socialise with others from the world of education & skills – a day we will remember for a long time.”
