FITNESS fanatics put their best foot forward in honour of their friend.
Jack Light who plays for Hampton FC has undergone chemotherapy for Hogkins Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes.
His friends Abi Cowie, Phoebe Nicholls, Hannah Fishwick, Abbi Jenner, Delphi Cole decided to run 26.2miles from the Saxon Pub in Solihull to Villa Park, the home ground of Jack’s favourite team.
They wanted to raise as much awareness and money for Lymphoma Out Loud, which teaches young people the symptoms to look out for.
The group smashed their initial target of £500 – with a final total of more than £2,500.
