Berkswell Windmill set to open its doors this weekend

THE HISTORIC Berkswell Windmill will be open this weekend.

The windmill in Balsall Common will open its doors on Saturday (May 10) from noon until 4pm.

There will also be plenty of entertainment on offer at the Windmill Lane site including the U3A 20 piece band and demonstrations from the Coventry Weavers and Spinners and singer Bill Pullen will be performing.

There is a small range of play equipment for the under 5’s and visitors will be able to sit back and enjoy a cream tea and a guided tour of this Grade 2 Listed Working Windmill.

Cream teas will also be available on the lawn.

Visitors may also witness the sails turning.




The Windmill is also on the hunt for new volunteers to become tour guides, help with the refreshments and learn how to maintain the Mill.

Entrance costs £5 for adults, £1 under 16’s and free for under 12’s- includes a guided tour.


Dogs are not permitted unless they are Guide or Hearing Dogs.

There is on-street parking available.
