A BURGLAR has been handed a jail term for carrying out multiple burglaries at homes across Solihull and Birmingham.
Claudiu Pop, pleaded guilty to 11 burglaries and two attempted burglaries at Birmingham Crown Court.
They were carried out in July and August.
He was jailed for two-and-a-half years.
During the raids across Birmingham and Solihull, the 32-year-old, of no fixed address, broke into homes and stole thousands of pounds worth of jewellery, watches, cash, TVs and games consoles.
West Midlands Police said it worked closely with the Met Police to bring Pop to justice.
Pop is already serving a four year six months sentence for carrying out 30 burglaries in the London area, and this sentence will run concurrently.
Detective Sergeant Adam Charlesworth, from the Stechford Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: “Pop is a prolific offender who targeted a number of homes in the Birmingham and Solihull areas where he stole thousands of pounds worth of personal items as well as cash.
“Working alongside our colleagues at the Met Police we were able to bring him to justice.”
