Solihull Editorial 23rd Feb, 2025   0

AN EXTRA £13.5million of funding for public health in Solihull has been welcomed.

Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst, Solihull West and Shirley MP, has welcomed the additional funding for smoking cessation programmes, addiction recovery, family and school nurses, sexual health clinics, local health protection services, and public health support for services across the borough.

He said: “This additional investment will make a tangible difference to the lives of my constituents. Securing new investment for our local NHS is the top priority in my plan for Solihull West and Shirley.

“In recent months, I have been meeting with local GP practices and the Integrated Care Board to discuss improving NHS services and enhancing urgent care provision. I look forward to continuing our close working relationship, in order to deliver better NHS services for my constituents.”
