AN ACADEMY trust which oversees the running of four Solihull schools is up for two national awards.
The Summit Learning Trust has been shortlisted for the Medium Size MAT of the Year Award, for MATs with between 6 and 14 schools and also the MAT Leadership Team of the Year Award, which recognises outstanding achievement and overcoming adversity at the The National MAT Awards 2025.
The awards, hosted by the Multi Academy Trust Association (MATA), occur annually and they present awards for outstanding achievement and the great work multi academy trusts do.
The trust comprises of three secondary schools, five primary schools and a sixth form college educating over 8,000 learners which include Cockshut Hill School, Lyndon School, Ninestiles and Solihull Sixth Form College.

Last year, the trust took home the Community Impact Award for their Base Camp initiative, which is an initiative designed to support their most vulnerable children, young people, and families through the current cost of living crisis and beyond.
The Summit Base Camp initiative offers free support to ensure that every child and young person has the following basic needs met to enable them to achieve the highest levels of academic progress, whilst being provided with a rich educational experience.
