TWO MEN have been arrested after a man died following a collision in Hall Green.
Emergency services were called shortly before 7.15pm on February 11 to a collision involving, a BMW and a Honda, on Stratford Road.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said an ambulance, a paramedic officer, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic and a BASICS emergency doctor attended the scene.
A man in his 50s, the driver of the Honda, was found seriously injured and despite best efforts of emergency services, died in hospital a short time later.
The occupants of the BMW fled the scene.
Police said: “Later in the evening, two men presented at a police station in relation to the collision.
“They have both been detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
“One of the men, a 19-year-old has been taken to hospital for health checks and the second man, an 18-year-old, has been taken into custody while our enquiries continue.”
