A WOMAN has been charged after an elderly couple were assaulted in Shirley on New Year’s Day.
Melissa Elliker from Shirley, has been charged with attempted robbery and wounding.
She has been remanded to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on February 5.
Police arrested arrested the 36-year-old earlier this month following the incident, which saw a man and a woman injured in an attempted robbery.
