WEST Midlands Police have announced the names of its Remembrance litter of puppies.
The Cocker Spaniel pups were born on Remembrance Sunday and the force asked the public to suggest names for the sensational six in honour of those who served in the First World War.
After a huge response from residents on Threads and Instagram the pups have been named Edith, Flora, Kipling, Harold, Archibald and Ernest.
West Midlands Police said: “The pups will be settling into their temporary homes with some of our fantastic volunteers in the coming weeks.
“Our volunteer puppy walkers are an integral part of our police puppy’s lives. We can’t thank them enough for their support.
“Dogs were valued companions during the First World War. The bond between our handlers and their dogs is unbreakable and we couldn’t do this job without our four-legged heroes.”
