THE COUNTDOWN to the annual Knowle and Dorridge Lions Festive Walk is under way.
The annual event will start at Dorridge Village Hall and end at Dorridge Cricket Club and there will be a choice of a three- or six-mile sign-posted route.
All will pass through the surrounding countryside using country lanes and public footpaths. Young walkers will be able to join the Lions Safari Hunt on the three-mile walk, with a prize awarded for a correct entry.
Walkers can register and begin their routes from 9:30am until 1pm.
Routes will be available to download or forms and maps will be available to collect from the Lions gazebo in front of Dorridge Village Hall on the day.
All funds will go the Lions community fund, which donates money to worthy organisations across the borough.
Organisers say the routes are not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs and wellies or walking boots are strongly recommended.
There will be limited parking at the Dorridge Village Hall, Ye Olde Knowle Bowling Club and Dorridge Cricket Club.
Walkers are asked to walk to the start point wherever possible. Appropriate footwear is recommended.
Refreshments will be available at Dorridge Cricket Club.
