WEST Midlands Police has welcomed its latest recruits to the world.
Baloo, Jasmine, Jessie, Maui, Flynn, Tiana, Merida and Mirabel make up the force’s Disney characters litter.
The eight Labradors have been named after some of the dog handlers’ children’s favourite Disney characters.
In the coming weeks, the ‘pawsome’ pups will go to live in their temporary homes with some of our amazing volunteers as they begin their journey to become four-legged crime fighters.
An integral part of their development is socialising and police volunteers make sure the pups get out and about to meet new people and explore new places.
West Midlands Police said: “Police dogs are integral to the work we do in protecting the public and fighting crime. We couldn’t do this job without our four-legged heroes. We hope that these puppies go ‘to infinity and beyond’.”
