A SPOOKY walk and a fireworks display will bring scream of joy to Solihull in honour of sick children.
Matt’s Mission Children’s Charity is hosting a Halloween and bonfire evening at Highgate United in Shirley to raise funds for the charity which supports children and their families.
From 6pm on November 1 there will be a scare walk complete with props and inflatables which has been supported up by Murder House Productions.
This year there will also be two 20 minute firework shows at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
A torch light show will also be held to remember the children the charity has supported over the years and have died.
Matt Denning, who is usually seen dressed as Captain America outside of Barnardo’s in Solihull, said: “The charity have saved over £8,000 in costs thanks to the generosity of companies agreeing to sponsor the event, the charity would like to place on record out gratitude to every company that has helped to make this event possible.”
He started up the charity in 2011 after his Grandad was diagnosed with cancer he raised funds for the hospital and met a sick child and he continues to support sick children and those with complex needs.
Over the years Matt has raised more than £300,000 and has used this money taking children to Lapland at Christmas times, Disney Land and he has bought a caravan holiday home in Skegness for families to go for respite.
Matt has raised funds by taking on mountain climbs, marathons and sky dives.
Parking will not be available at the ground.
