BUDDING broadcasters took a peek behind the scenes at the Royal Television Society (RTS) Midlands Careers Fair.
The event at The Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) provided a unique opportunity for aspiring media professionals to engage with key players from the UK’s television and film industry.
Throughout the day the Media and IT sixth formers from Solihull Sixth Form College connected with leading organisations, including ITV, BBC, and other prominent figures in the film and TV sectors.
A highlight of the event was the Create Central Production Pass Roadshow, a session offering students an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into the film and television production landscape in the Midlands.
The session featured presentations from Crew Birmingham, Filming in England, and the Royal Television Society, all providing insights into local production opportunities and emerging trends in the region.
Curriculum leader for Media and IT, Rasbinder Gill, said: “The event provided invaluable guidance on career paths and practical strategies for breaking into the industry.
“The connections made will be instrumental to our young people in shaping their ambitions and supporting their journey toward successful careers in the creative industries.”
