MARIAH Spare has been selected as one of 24 players to represent Great Britain women for two international matches in Slovakia.
The Solihull Vixens star will represent her country when GB goes up against Slovakia tomorrow (Friday) and this Sunday (July 17).
Both matches are taking place at the Zimný štadión Petržalka in Slovakia. Slovakia are ranked 14th in the world, seven places above GB’s position of 21.
“We have a strong squad making the trip,” said GB head coach Cheryl Smith.
“There are some very experienced players, along with some great young talent.
“They will be a tough two matches but they will prepare us well for the upcoming Olympic qualification.
“The door is very much open though for the Olympic tournament for any of the players, whether they are making the trip or not.”
