SCOTTISH international and ex-Worcester centre Alex Grove has agreed to a move to Birmingham Moseley.

Solihull-born Grove joins the Birmingham club off the back of over 150 appearances for the Warriors during a ten year period.

Always popular with the Sixways fan base, Grove found himself inexplicably out of favour under recently departed director of rugby Dean Ryan, spending a period of last season on loan at London Scottish playing alongside his brother Ollie.

The move to Birmingham Moseley offers Grove the opportunity of regular first rugby coupled with the chance to start imparting his considerable knowledge of rugby at the highest levels to up and coming young players at the club.

Having been an instrumental part in Worcester progressing to the Premiership Grove will be a vital part of Birmingham Moseley’s drive to re-join The Championship.

Speaking of the signing, Birmingam Moseley’s director of rugby, Kevin Maggs, said: “Alex brings with him an impressive level of professionalism when it comes to playing and training and I am sure his presence will raise the bar for the whole squad in terms of effort.

“Clearly he will have a big impact in both the team and the National One league.”
