Saint Martin’s Girl’s School win swimming championships

FOR THE eighth successive year Saint Martin’s Girls’ School in Solihull has been crowned overall winners of the Solihull Borough Swimming Championships.

A total of 36 girls from Years 7 to Sixth Form competed in the event and every girl contributed to this amazing achievement.

There were also individual successes with medals awarded to Sophie Stables who became the Year 10 Butterfly Champion, Lucy Glover who won the Senior Backstroke race, Maria Lyri won the Senior Breaststroke race and Lauren Shaw was crowned Senior Butterfly Champion.

The Year 10 team of Olivia Barker, Alice Glover, Isabella Nicholson and Sophie Stables won the Freestyle Relay and the Senior Team of Lucy Glover, Maria Lyri, Lauren Shaw and Megan Stretton won both the Medley and Freestyle Relays.
