Grenville right on cue for promotion

PLAYERS at Grenville Snooker Club are celebrating after returning back to the big time by winning promotion to the Birmingham Premier League.

The club spent 13 successive years in Birmingham’s top flight and now they have re-grouped to win promotion from Division One.

Their achievement is made all the more special by winning promotion without the services of Mitchell Mann who first started his career at the club before turning professional and earlier this year he made it through to the last 32 of the World Snooker Championships in Sheffield.

Now captained by George Wolwark, Grebville have had a successful five years cementing their reputation as one of the leading snooker clubs in the Midlands Area




The winter league season kicks off next week and runs through to next Spring with home and away fixtures every week as well as a cup competition.

Amarjit Boora, Gareth Boyle, Bharat Chauhan, Martin Hollingworth, Steve Palin, Paul Turton and captain George Wolwark make up the seven man team.


In total Grenville as four teams which play in the Birmingham Leagues as well as other that enter knock-out tournaments all-year round.
