Blythe Barracudas find form in Coventry

A BUSY few weeks has Blythe Barracudas Swimming Club produce a series of outstanding swims at the both the Coventry and District ASC Team Races Gala and the Boldmere Junior Invitation Meet.

At the Team Races Gala held at Coventry Sports and Leisure Centre, both the A and B teams had great success with the boys 12-14 age group finishing first in both the freestyle and medley events.

There was also second place finishes for the girls 10-11 years freestyle B team, while the boys 12-14 years freestyle and medley B team also finished as runners-up and there were third place finishes for the 12-14 years medley B team and 15 years/over medley B team.

Toby Allen was in fine form at the Boldmere Junior Invitation Meet held at Stechford Cascades, with the 11-year-old achieving first place in the 100 IM, 50m butterfly, 50m backstroke and 50m freestyle, while also finishing second in the 50m breaststroke.




Joseph Frankiln was also bidding for glory and the ten-year-old finished first in the 100 IM, 50m backstroke and 50m freestyle.

For the nine-year-old girls, Darcie Flynn triumphed in the 100 IM and she was closely followed by team mate Phoebe Mooney who finished second.


Tiana Greenshields gained first place in the 25m butterfly and second place in the 25m breast, while Molly Vondrak secured third place in the 25m freestyle.
